Privacy

Your name, email address, city and state, an optional photo, your golf preferences (handicap range, days, holes, walking or riding) and the rounds and events you post, join or save. Your email address is never displayed anywhere in the app.

Other members only ever see your first name, city and state, and your photo — the details you would share on a first tee.

We use Google Places so you can search for a course or an area by name when posting a Play Date, Event, or location filter. The place name, latitude and longitude you select are saved with that post so other members can see where it is and so distance filtering works.

Your current device location is never stored by Sonder. When you tap Near Me, your phone hands us a position for that one search, we measure distances with it on the server, and it is discarded. It is never written to our database and never shared with Google, other members, or third parties. If you decline the location prompt, you can search by city, course name, or area instead — nothing is blocked.

Google may receive the text you type while searching for a place, subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. Sonder does not send Google your identity, profile, or device location.

Phone numbers or email addresses used to invite a friend are used only to send that invitation. They are not stored for marketing and never added to a mailing list.

Invitation links are single-use and stop working after the round's date (or after seven days for rounds without a date).

A round's chat is private to its confirmed members. If you leave the group, your access ends immediately. Messages are permanently deleted seven days after the round.

Profile photos and tee-time confirmation screenshots are stored privately and shown through temporary links. A confirmation screenshot is only visible to confirmed members of that round.

You can delete your account from your Profile at any time. We clear your name, email, photo and personal details, remove you from upcoming rounds and chats, and disable sign-in. A minimal record remains so past rounds stay intact for the golfers you played with.
